WAXING PRE & POST CARE
PRE WAX DO'S

Shower

Grow out your hair- hair must be at least 1/4 inch long. Generally 3-4 weeks of grow out is best.

Gently exfoliate the night before your appointment

Take painkillers like ibuprofen to help reduce the pain

Wear loose fit clothing

Relax
PRE WAX DON'TS

Consume caffeine or alcohol before appointment

Sunbath or tanning beds

Shave/trim

Coat your body with lotions, oils or creams the day of your appointment
POST WAX DO'S

Keep area clean

Exfoliate 2-3 times per week (starting 72 hrs after your wax)

Moisturize

Book your next wax 4-6 weeks out
POST WAX DON'TS

Saunas, hot tubs, massage or steam treatments

Hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only)

Exercise/Friction

Tanning beds/spray tan

Sun exposure

Fragranced products
You can get waxed on your period just make sure to wear a fresh tampon or clean menstrual cup to your appointment. During your period your skin is at its most sensitive but you can take ibuprofen 30 minutes before your appointment to keep the pain to a minimum.
If you are Currently using any of the following medications, you cannot be waxed
Accutane, Retin A, Renova, Differin, Adapolene, Isotretinoin or other types of skin thinning acne medications
You may experience skin sensitivity/thinning from the following which can possibly result in skin lifting
Pregnancy, menstruation, retinol, antibiotics, curtain medical conditions, curtain medications
It can take a few wax treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives best results.
Slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over the next 24 - 48 hours.
